The Spring 2017 round of Solarize Rhode Island is now underway! Solarize Rhode Island seeks to increase the adoption of small-scale solar electricity in participating communities through a competitive tiered pricing structure that increases the savings for everyone as more home and business owners sign contracts.

Now in its fourth year, Solarize Rhode Island, a partnership between the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources (OER), Commerce RI. More than 475 residents and business owners have signed contracts for small-scale solar electricity systems with the program. Hundreds more have been educated about the economic and environmental benefits of solar electricity, energy efficiency and other clean energy technologies.

Installer Request for Application

The Installer Request for Application is available for installers interested in applying for the Spring 2017 Solarize Rhode Island program. The Program Administrators have selected Cranston and Charlestown to participate in the program. Their community outreach plans are posted below. Installer applications to this RFA are due on May 23, 2016 at 4pm. The Application must be in electronic form and submitted to doa.solarizeri@energy.ri.gov. "Solarize 'Community Name' RFA" must appear in the subject line of the email. Please review all documents carefully.

Questions related to the RFA are due to OER by May 15, 2017. OER will then post the FAQ document on this website no later than May 18, 2017. If a document is not posted, no questions were received.
