2016 Rhode Island Home Show
March 31 - April 3, 2016
Rhode Island Convention Center

For the third consecutive year, the Rhode Island Home Show will feature an Energy Expo sponsored by National Grid, the RI Energy Efficiency and Resource Management Council and the RI Office of Energy Resources.

The Energy Expo brings practical and affordable energy saving solutions to Rhode Island families because when you save energy, you also save money, improve the comfort of your home, and help the environment.

Solar Energy Showcase!

Solar is a focus of this year’s Home Show and for good reason. In RI, the Solar marketplace is growing and many State and other programs are now available. At the Solar showcase, you will learn how solar panels work, you’ll learn about the many different systems that are available for your home, and you will find out all you need to know about the programs that can help make this new energy source a reality for you. Want to save on your electric bill? Take a walk over to this very educational, and very cool, showcase – you won’t be disappointed!

Here are just some of the things you will see…

  1. Two different residential solar system set-ups including the roof assembly!
  2. A solar powered car
  3. A flat roof commercial system
  4. A “debunk the myth’ platform that will show you how different (cardinal directions) affect solar output
  5. An educational area where electrical students will present informational videos / power points on solar energy and residential solar systems

So if you have a question about Solar energy, how is can work in your home please check out the Solar Showcase located in the left, back corner of the RI Home Show.
